Leroy Sibbles

I Shall Be Released (3:45)
Leroy Sibbles
B-side of “Come On Love Me” single
45: Scorcher Music SS1043; rel.2004 (US)

Heptones lead singer Leroy Sibbles re-recorded I Shall Be Released for Dennis "Scorcher" Williams' Scorcher Music in Los Angeles. The record was released in 2004, but there is no indication of when it was recorded. The label says "from CD AllStars Volume 1." Several other 45s by other artists are similar, so the CD must be a various artist album but I cannot find any details about it.
The 45 is available from Scorcher Music.

This 45 has been added to the Reggae Collector's Guide. I have listed it in the "World" section because it's a US-based label.

Duane Eddy Does Bob Dylan: 1994 US CD

I was unaware of this CD that contains Duane Eddy Does Bob Dylan until several copies appeared on eBay recently. Like the other CD versions, it pairs Eddy's Dylan LP with his other Colpix LP, Duane A Go Go Go, plus a few other tracks. The Complete Colpix Recordings was released by Gold Picks Records of Phoenix, Arizona in 1994.
The Duane Eddy Does Bob Dylan page has been updated.

Chasers

I Shall Be Released (3:44)
Chasers
Out Of Control
LP: Mr. Kite Records MKR 001; 1986 (US)

Another band with very little info available. Mr. Kite Records was in Boise, Idaho, so the band was probably from that area. The quartet consisted of Harry Dial, Steve Wall, Barney Southard, and Phil Garoznik. The album is a mix of originals and covers. I Shall Be Released rises above standard folk/country-rock fare with the addition of a flute in the mix. Click here for larger cover image.
