Added to both the VOCALS & VIDEO pages of Dylan Cover Albums is Maria Muldaur's Live in Concert. The newly released CD includes live performances of all 12 Dylan covers from Maria's 2006 CD Heart Of Mine, plus 3 non-Dylan songs. The DVD, available separately, deletes I'll Be Your Baby Tonight and one of the non-Dylan songs.

Eddy Arnold passed away on Thursday, May 8 at the age of 89.
He was one of the first established country stars to cover Dylan, including Blowin' In The Wind on this 1964 LP of folk songs.
The LP is included in the Collector's Guide to Country Dylan Covers.

Swamp Dylan: New "Roots" & moved

Roots, the second album by Swamp Dylan has been added to Dylan Cover Albums Vocals pages HERE. The collection has been available since last year in this pre-release form, the finalized album may differ slightly.
The original Swamp Roots album has been moved to the Vocals section - it was previously listed on the Download Albums page - as both albums are now available on CDR from Soweto Productions. The download version is no longer available.

Just discovered and added to the Download Albums page of Dylan Cover Albums is Smeke Plays Dylan, a collection of 11 Dylan covers recorded 2006-07 by (Rafael) Smeke of Brazil.
The album is downloadable from ramonsmeg.blogspot.com as a RAR file. You will need a tool (such as WinRAR) to extract the 11 mp3s and artwork.

The Byrds Play Dylan... again

The new The Byrds Play Dylan reissue has now been added to Dylan Cover Albums HERE. This latest version is part of the Sony BMG "Collections" series. The CD has new artwork and reverts to the 13 tracks of the original LP, in the sequence of previous UK releases. It is already available in the UK and as an import in the US, and is due for release in Germany on May 2nd. The CD is issued by Sony BMG, labeled as "Made in the EU," and is a no-frills release, nothing more than the tracklist & song credits is provided.
The CD has also been released in Australia.
As on the 2001/2002 UK & US expanded reissues, the Easy Rider version of It's All Over Now, Baby Blue has been replaced by the 1965 version first released on the 1996 expanded/remastered Turn! Turn! Turn!.
