Strumming to The Wilbury's added to Dylan Cover Albums
I had not intended to add the Strumming to The Wilbury's CD to Dylan Cover Albums, but after several readers asking about it I have reconsidered. It does not qualify for any of the main pages, so I have added it to the Near Misses pages.
It's a strange CD, there is no performer or producer credits, no mention of the record company, no info at all beyond the tracklist, which is not in sequence and missing a track (Rattled)!
I do not include all Traveling Wilburys songs in the Dylan Covers DataBase, only those associated with and generally credited to Dylan. This tribute includes all three of the Dylan associated songs from the 1st Traveling Wilburys album: Congratulations, Tweeter and The Monkey Man, and Dirty World. (Tracks 1,2 & 6).
There are three changes to the promotional artwork used around the internet (shown at right), and still showing on most retailer sites: "To The" has been added to the title, "Featuring these selections..." has been changed to "A Tribute To The Traveling Wilburys", and, appropriately for this acoustic album, the electric guitars have been replaced by acoustic guitars!
