New in the DylanCover.com collection: The Sounds of Our Times

Too Much Of Nothing
(instrumental)
The Sounds of Our Times
Arranged and Conducted by Jack Pleis
Play Love Is Blue
LP: Capitol ST 2892 (stereo); 1967 (US)

The Sounds of Our Times was one of the many faceless studio groups that recorded "hits-of-the -day" albums in the '60s. This album is noteworthy for it's cover of Too Much Of Nothing instead of the usual Dylan cover suspects.
From the rear cover: "The Sounds of Our Times play the hit songs of our times in big, fresh, new, exciting arrangements for strings, brasses, guitars, alto sax, rhythm, and the haunting, expressive sound of the Vox electronic harpsichord."
