Jacksons Garden: Songs by Dylan & Divina

Danish band Jacksons Garden - formed in 1967 - has released a new album, Songs by Dylan & Divina. Divina is the band's songwriter & lead singer Eric Werner-Divina.
The album includes six Dylan songs: Queen Jane Approximately / Catfish / Emotionally Yours / Love Minus Zero/No Limit / Forever Young / From A Buick 6, plus the Dylan-related traditional Belle Isle.
The CD is hard to find even on-line, it will be added to Dylan Cover Albums when more details are available.

Rolling Stones cover Watching The River Flow

Several websites are reporting that The Rolling Stones, with former bassist Bill Wyman, have recorded a cover of Watching The River Flow. The track is to be included on Boogie With Stu, a tribute album to "the sixth Stone", boogie-woogie pianist Ian Stewart. The CD is scheduled for March 9 release.

Recently discovered on-line is this CD of Polish Dylan covers by Piotr Krupa. The 13-song CD Twój w Pamięci Ślad: Pieśni Boba Dylana was released in 2008 by Folk Factory Records.
Unfortunately both the label's website and e-mail address appear to be defunct, and e-mails to other contact addresses have so far received no response, so current status of the album is unknown. I will add the album to the site when more information is available.

A limited edition of 1,000 vinyl LPs of Subterranean Homesick Blues will be released in January. ReImagine Music issued the collection of Dylan covers by indie artists as a digital-only album in October 2010. Reportedly the LP includes the 2 bonus tracks previously offered by Amazon, but not the iTunes exclusive tracks. The LP is listed for pre-sale by many on-line sellers, including amazon.co.uk and amazon.de. Not yet listed at Amazon-US.

I've been informed that the 2002 cover album Thinking About Bob Dylan is now out of print and has also been removed from digital distribution. If you missed this one, you should grab it fast if you can find a straggler for sale.

The producer is working on a new album of Bob Dylan covers which is expected to be available in early 2011. It will contain 11 tracks of all Dylan covers. Initially it will be available as a digital only album but is expected to be released as a physical CD later in the year.

Maffitt/Davies reissued

The Rise and Fall of Honesty, the 1968 LP by the duo Maffitt/Davies has been reissued on CD by the UK label Rev-Ola (CR REV 301.) The album has been called “a masterpiece of psychedelic americana, a strange batch of orchestral Psychpop and Folk-Rock.” The duo features harmony vocals ala CSN, Brewer & Shipley, etc.
The two Dylan covers - Just Like A Woman and Tom Thumb's Blues - are overlooked folk-rock gems. The album was produced by early Beach Boys producer Nik Venet.
The CD adds several non-Dylan bonus tracks.

Subterranean Homesick Blues is now available for ordering from the Amazons, at the links in previous post. Both versions are available as albums or individual tracks. As of this posting, at Amazon (US,UK, DE) the 18-track version costs less than the 16-track version!

iTunes (US) is offering yet another version, with 19 tracks... the 3 extra tracks are unique to this version!

Earlier this year a "Bonus Track Version" of Ben Sidran's Dylan Different was released to select digital services. This version adds Like A Rolling Stone and a reworked Knockin' On Heaven's Door to the original album.

Subterranean Homesick Blues: A Tribute to Bob Dylan's “Bringing It All Back Home” will be available for download on Tuesday 10/5.
Be aware that the Amazon sites (US,UK,DE) are offering two different versions, a 16-track version and a 18-track version. I don't know if either will be full-album only or if individual tracks will be available. Those questions should be answered when the order links are activated.
I have no info about availability at iTunes or other sources.

Polish mystery

This 1960s Polish EP by No To Co Grupa Skifflowa i Piotr Janczerski includes a track credited to B. Dylan and R. Tur (for the translation?) The track title is listed as Ballada bez tytulu (A Ballad Without Title.)

Update 2: Based both on the melody and some reverse translating, the concensus seems to be that this in not a Dylan song at all, but merely an error in the writer's credit :(

Maria Muldaur's Live in Concert - essentially a live version of her Dylan covers album with a few of her own songs added - has been reissued as a 2-disc CD+DVD combination by the UK Retroworld label. Content is the same as the original 2008 US CD and DVD, but with new artwork.
Oddly, the label's own listing reads Live in Concert 1974, although the content is clearly the 2007 concert.

If anyone can provide the catalog number of this release, please advise.
Also if you can clarify the format and region of the DVD. Amazon-US states the DVD is NTSC/Region-O, Amazon-UK does not specify, although both are the same ASIN number, so caution is advised regarding compatibility of the DVD.

An original cast recording of Teaterkoncert Bob Dylan, an original production staged at Aarhus Teater in Denmark earlier this year is available on CD from the theater's website aarhusteater.dk
The double-CD includes performances of 28 Dylan songs in English. Produced by Peter Hellemann, cast includes Bjørn Fjæstad, Claus Hempler, Ulla Henningsen, Jacob Madsen Kvols, Liv Lykke, Ashok Peter Pramanik and Ole Thestrup.

Reissue labels continue to mine the vaults for vintage records to reissue, both on CD and via download.
The That Philly Sound label has reissued the 1965 album by The Spokesmen, best known for The Dawn of Correction, its title-track answer song to Barry McGuire's Eve of Destruction.
Of interest here - of course - are the album's two Dylan covers: Love Minus Zero/No Limit and It Ain't Me Babe.
